Compliance questions, answered

How often does NFPA 96 require hood cleaning?

NFPA 96 sets cleaning frequency by cooking volume: high-volume (24-hour, charbroiling, wok) monthly; moderate-volume quarterly; low-volume semi-annual. Most King County kitchens land on quarterly — that's our default plan, and we document the grease depth each visit so your interval is defensible to the AHJ.

Do you file the documentation with my AHJ?

Yes. Every service produces a dated certificate and before/after photos, and we submit the records your Authority Having Jurisdiction expects — so when the fire marshal or health inspector asks, the paperwork is already on file.

What's covered under UL 300 / Ansul service?

Semi-annual inspection of your wet-chemical fire-suppression system per UL 300 and NFPA 17A — nozzles, fusible links, cylinder charge and tag. We flag anything failing before it becomes a shutdown.

Why is backflow testing on here (WAC 246-290-490)?

Washington's cross-connection rule (WAC 246-290-490) requires annual testing of backflow assemblies by a certified tester, with results filed to your water purveyor. We test, tag, and file it — one less deadline you track.

Can I cancel?
